Our Safeguarding Commitment

Providence Centered Care is committed to the protection and welfare of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults who use our services. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we embed this principle at every level of our organisation.

Designated Safeguarding Officer

We have a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) who is responsible for managing all safeguarding concerns and referrals. All staff are trained to recognise the signs of abuse and know how to raise a concern appropriately.

Types of Abuse We Recognise

  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional and psychological abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Financial and material abuse
  • Neglect and acts of omission
  • Discriminatory abuse
  • Institutional abuse
  • Modern slavery and trafficking

How to Raise a Concern

If you have a concern about the welfare of a service user, staff member, or anyone connected to our services:

  • Contact our Designated Safeguarding Officer via email at info@providencecenteredcare.com
  • Contact your local authority adult or children's safeguarding team
  • Contact the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 03000 61 61 61
  • In an emergency, call 999

Whistleblowing

We support all staff and volunteers in raising concerns without fear of reprisal. Our Whistleblowing Policy protects anyone who reports a genuine concern in good faith. Concerns can be raised directly with our DSO or anonymously via our reporting process.
